Practice Putting Green
Indoor Golf Putting Greens
Learn how and what to look for in a practice putting green
Become a mentally tough putter. There is a specific way to practice to develop this ability that the great professional champions have and here is
the secret.
Set-up the Practice Tour Putting Square
What you will need: An indoor putting green that can be set up to
simulate uphill putts, downhill putts, left to right, right to left or any other type of contour you can create easily. You will need to find a
putting green that uses "snakes and breaks". These are devices you put under the artificial putting surface to create the different
grades.
What to do: Start by setting up a spot 3 feet away from the
hole for each putt [up hill, down hill etc.]. You need to make 3 putts in a row from each spot before you can move to the next.
Every time you miss a putt you add 1 point. Remember, you can't move on to the next spot until you sink 3 in a row!
Once you get around to very spot from the 3 foot line, you now set up 4 feet from the
hole on each shot. Once again you need to make 3 putts in a row from every 4 foot spot and you continue to add 1 point every time you miss a
putt.
Once you get past all 4 foot spots you move back 5 feet from the hole on each type of shot.
This type of putting practice will make you into one very mentally tough putter! Don't worry about going beyond the 5 foot mark. The pros
don't practice from beyond that distance and neither should you.

Where do YOU fit in? |
How does this fit in with a golf putting aid? Look for a putting aid that allows you create breaks and
contours that will let you practice putting in the proper way. Simple return devices are great to get your swing in a
groove but you need to practice properly to succeed in the long run. An indoor putting green that allows this can work wonders for your
game over a long winter!

Indoor practice putting green set up to make you mentally tough!
Some folks in good climates will even go so far as to install or build a putting green in their own back yard. This is not always
advantages because you can't rearrange the hole to have different slants or grades like you can do with an indoor one that uses snakes and breaks
to create an infinite variety.

Installed outdoor practice putting green
Some golfers who are also handy at building things have taken to building their own indoor practice putting green. Here is
an example of one that is built on 2 x 4s that is shown over at The Sand Trap.com They show plans to build a putting green that is very
sturdy and will allow you to create the breaks and slants you need to develop into that mentally tough putter we have talked about.
